This RS232 to RS422 converter is port-powered with an optional external power supply terminal. Power is supplied directly from the TXD signal of the RS232 source. If the RS232 source is not capable of supplying enough power via the TXD signal an external power supply can easily be connected to the converter. This unit uses an internal power pump to supply power from the RS232C source without initializing the RS232C interface. It supports 4-wire RS485 and RS422 communications, which allows two peer participants or one master and multiple slaves and operates in full-duplex. The transmission rate of 300 - 115200bps can be applied to point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks.
